BAYA MACRAMÉ

Our macramé umbrellas add texture, warmth, and character to any
outdoor space, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
We o er two macrame options:

1. Umbrellas with a traditional acrylic canopy complemented by
macrame edges and fringes. These umbrellas have a macramé
look, yet provide virtually the same level of shade as a traditional
all acrylic umbrella.

2. Full macramé umbrella. These umbrellas will give you the full
resort style macramé look, with a laced shade pattern.

Our macramé canopies were developed as part of an e ort to
expand our community outreach programme aimed at empowering
women in the villages around our factory in Indonesia. The
programme involves training women in traditional handicraft and
thereby providing them with an income opportunity. Our solution
dyed polypropylene macramé yarns has been tested to 3,000
hours of UV exposure.

In an e ort to reduce plastic pollution in our environment in general
and oceans in particular, our macramé yarns contain 35% social
plastic sourced from the Canadian NGO Plastic bank®.

Plastic Bank is a social enterprise that aims to reduce plastic waste
in the environment while also addressing poverty. Plastic Bank's
mission is to stop ocean plastic and improve the lives of collector
communities. They achieve this by setting up plastic recycling
ecosystems in underdeveloped communities, particularly in
countries with high levels of plastic pollution. This includes BAYA
