A craftsman's take on the classic teak market umbrella, our Baya line of market umbrellas feature custom made stainless steel and aluminium hardware which add a level of refinement that is rarely seen on teak umbrellas. For maximum strength and service-ability, the Baya umbrellas feature solid teak laminated poles and a canopy made from a commercial grade acrylic awning fabric. The user-replaceable teak arms are attached to the vented canopy using reinforced pockets. The mechanism for operating the umbrella features a 4 pulley system, which ensures the canopy can be operated with little effort. The rope is retained in a patented yacht style rope clamp. Our Baya umbrella bases are constructed with a powder coated steel base plate. Each base is equipped with nylon glides and holes that ensure the base plate can be anchored to the ground. The umbrella pole is held within a powder coated stainless steel tube equipped with anodised aluminium knobs. An integrated shoehorn-shaped stainless steel insert ensures the umbrella can be held firmly in place without damage to the teak pole. The weight of the bases can be doubled by adding a double-stack steel plate. For mobility, a set of lockable heavy duty castors can be fitted on any of the square bases.
